1. Who we are

FACTU is an Egyptian online platform that connects clients who need goods made with verified factories, organises offers and contracts, and holds the contract value until the goods are accepted. By using the site or creating an account you accept these terms, the privacy policy and the payment and refund policy.

2. Accounts

• Users must be adults (18+) or existing companies represented by an authorised person.
• You give true and complete information, keep it up to date and are responsible for everything done from your account.
• Do not share your password or login code; tell us at once about any unauthorised use.

3. Verifying factories

Factories submit their commercial register, tax card and other documents; the FACTU team reviews them and may visit. Trust badges mean the review was done; they are not a FACTU guarantee of every job. The factory gives the warranty under the contract.

4. Jobs and offers

• The client describes the job accurately, attaches drawings and is responsible for them.
• Offers are sealed: no factory sees the others' prices.
• Unapproved factories see a summary only, without the client's name, drawings or budget.
• A factory may send a new offer after a rejection, up to the limit shown in the platform.

5. Contracts and e-signature

When an offer is accepted, FACTU creates a bilingual manufacturing contract that both parties sign electronically in the platform (name, date, time and IP are recorded); FACTU then approves and stamps it. Users accept the platform's electronic records as evidence under E-Signature Law 15/2004; any party may ask for a hand-signed copy. Both parties can download the contract at any time.

6. Payment

The client pays the contract value only to FACTU's official accounts and FACTU pays the factory in the contract's steps. Details: the payment and refund policy. Payments outside FACTU are not protected.

7. Commission

Signing up and posting jobs is free. FACTU earns a commission on signed contracts only; its rate and amount are written in the contract before signing. During the pilot the commission is 0%.

8. Not allowed

• Dealing outside the platform with a party you met on FACTU to avoid the commission, within 12 months.
• Ordering or making weapons, ammunition, banned materials or anything illegal under Egyptian law.
• Uploading drawings or marks you have no right to use.
• False information or documents, or impersonation.
• Attacking the site or scraping user data.

9. Intellectual property

The FACTU™ name and logo, the website, the software, their design and content are owned by FACTU and all rights are reserved; they may not be copied or used without written permission. Clients keep ownership of their drawings and documents and give FACTU a limited right to show them to factories for the job only.

10. FACTU's liability

FACTU is an intermediary that organises the deal and holds the money; it is not the maker or seller. The factory is responsible for quality and timing, the client for the accuracy of its specification. FACTU's liability is limited to the amounts it holds for the contract concerned and excludes indirect loss, except for fraud or gross negligence.

11. Suspension

FACTU may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, keeping the parties' rights in running contracts. You may ask to close your account once your contracts are finished.

12. Changes

We may change these terms and will tell you in the platform or by e-mail 14 days before an important change applies. Signed contracts keep their own terms.

13. Law

These terms are governed by Egyptian law. Disputes are first settled amicably, then through FACTU mediation, otherwise by the competent Egyptian courts or by arbitration where the contract says so.
